MID-TERM EVALUATION
According to the UNDP/GEF/UNOPS rules and procedures, and as it is outlined in the project document, the project was a subject of a mid-term evaluation, carried out by an independent consultant team. This mid-term review focused on relevance, performance (effectiveness, efficiency and timeliness), issues requiring decisions and actions and initial lessons learned about project design, implementation and management. The findings and recommendations from the evaluation are used in the preparation and fine-tuning of the detailed implementation plans for the phase 2 activities.
The UNOPS contracted for the mid-term evaluation of the project the Finish company Jaakko Pöyry Group Oy (Soil and Water, Ltd.). The evaluation was carried out by Mr. Alan Fox (team leader) and Mr. Antti Rautavaara.
